The following are the Chapter’s Committees and participants as approved by the Board Officers.
Awards and Honors Committee
Vice President, one Class A Member, one Assistant Representative:
- To recommend to the Board Officers candidates for the following awards: Golf Professional of the Year, Assistant Golf Professional of the Year, and Teacher of the Year.

Vice President, two Class A Members:
- To organize workshops and seminars for the benefit of the members. To recommend topics and sites for Chapter education programs. To coordinate the Chapter’s education program with the Section’s educational program.
Junior Golf Committee
Junior Golf Director, Junior Golf Chairman, one Class A advisor, four Assistant Representatives:
- To organize and promote golf activities for the Hilton Head Island Junior Golf Association. To assist in the conduct for the Association’s Junior tournament Schedule. To oversee the Association’s Scholarship Program, including the review of all applications. The Committee shall strive to make golf available to every junior in our area, encouraging improvement, but emphasizing involvement.
President, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer:
To act for the Chapter in accordance with established policy between Chapter meetings.
President, five Class A Members:
To assist in the solicitation of corporate sponsors for the Chapter tournaments. The sponsor committee works on behald of the Chapter and through the Tournament Director.
Tournament Director, four Class A Members, four Assistant Representatives:
To propose rules and Regulations to the Tournament Director governing all competition in the Chapter’s in the Chapter’s Tournament Program. The Committee shall monitor and evaluate tournament operations and shall report its finding to the Tournament Director for guidance in upgrading the Tournament Program. The Committee shall investigate and act on Rules of Ethics violations pertaining to the Tournament Program and in accordance with the Professional Golfers Association of America Code of Ethics Guidelines and Procedures Manual.
