2012 Hilton Head Island PGA Awards

Each year the Hilton Head Island of The Professional Golfers' Association of America (HHIPGA) recognizes its most oustanding PGA Professionals plus individuals in the Hilton Head Island Chapter for their exemplary contributions toward making The PGA and the HHIPGA Associations. In all categories, the recipients of these awards contribute a tremendous amount of time to the Association.

Golf Professional of the Year

Tom Logue, PGA - Moss Creek 

Tom has showen an extreme amount of dedication throughout the 2012 year throughout the community, membership and to the chapter. Tom is the Tournament Director for the Hilton Head Chapter and is actively involved in all Chapter activities. It is the sections honor to congratulate Tom Logue, PGA as the Hilton Head Chapter Professional of the Year.

Assistant Golf Professional of the Year

Chris Westine, PGA - Eagle's Pointe

Chris has displayed an exceptional display of effort as an assistant golf professional at Eagle's Point. While still performing his duties at Eagle's Pointe, Chris has dedicated time to positively contribute to the Hilton Head Chapter.

Player of the Year

Pete Popovich, PGA - Old South 

Pete Popovich has been named the 2012 Player of the Year. Pete has played in almost all of the 2012 Hilton Head Chapter events and has blown away the with the exceptional consistantancy on the course. Highlighting his year, Pete placed first a the Fall Pro-Pro at Dataw and finished runner up in the HHI Chapter Match Play bracket.

Teacher of the Year

Doug Weaver, PGA - Palmetto Dunes

Doug Weaver has been selected by his peers as the 2012 Hilton Head Chapter Teaching Professional of the Year.
